Hepla® PC

Hepla® PC possesses excellent impact strength, excellent mechanical strength, energy radiation resistance, electrical insulation, dimensional stability, high transparency, physiological inertia, creep resistance, and good rigidity despite of high or low temperatures. What’s more, it also can be used as food-contacted material. Although it is stable to water, mineral and organic acids, it is partially soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, soluble in the chlorinated ones, and decomposes in strongly alkaline substances.


Reinforcement with 40% glass reduces the thermal expansion to 1.0 in/in/degrees F x 10E-5 (1.8 cm/cm/degrees C x 10E-5), which is below that of most thermoplastics and some metals. The tensile modulus is increased fivefold. Flexural, tensile and compressive strengths are doubled. Mold shrinkage is reduced, making it possible to produce very precise parts.

Hepla® PC performance comparison of different grades

Hepla® PC series materials are widely used in medical equipment, LED headlights, electronics, DVD, glasses, sports equipment, building doors and windows. With its outstanding balance, one of the successful thermoplastics of the Hepla® PC range is a high-performance thermoplastic that affects many aspects of everyday life.
Parts made from Hepla® PC series materials have a long service life and can be recycled. Most of the post-production waste is mechanically recycled into a "recyclable" polycarbonate blend. The high performance and sustainability of Hepla® PC Series materials make it an important choice for a wide range of applications.
Hepla® PC materials can be modified to achieve higher performance such as temperature resistance, wear resistance, mechanical strength and more. New Fuda engineers can provide you with a variety of high performance combinations of Hepla® PC materials or provide you with coloring services.
