Hepla® PA66

Hepla® PA66, as a semi-crystalline material, has excellent properties of wear resistance, self-lubrication, electrical insulation, weatherability, self-extinguishment and mechanical strength. It can maintain strong strength and rigidity at high temperatures thanks to its excellent heat resistance characteristic.


The physical strength of modified Hepla® PA66 can be increased to as 5 times strong as that of normal resin, and its rigidity can be increased by 10 times. The injection of lubricant can improve Hepla® PA66’s wear resistance and friction performance. Its versatile properties make it available for almost any application requiring good physical strength, ductility, heat resistance, and chemical resistance.

Hepla® PA66 performance comparison of different grades

The Hepla® PA66 series is a semi-crystalline-crystalline material and one of the most widely used materials in the nylon family.
Hepla® PA66 has similar physical properties to Hepla® PA6, but Hepla® PA66 has a higher melting point temperature and lower moisture absorption properties.
Compared to the high toughness of Hepla® PA6, Hepla® PA66 series materials have high strength and stiffness and maintain stable performance even at higher temperatures.
Compared to similar materials, Hepla® PA66 series materials have certain advantages in hygroscopicity. Through reasonable modification, Xinfuda engineers can reduce the moisture absorption rate of Hepla® PA66 base resin, which has a lower moisture absorption advantage. You can contact Xinfuda engineers to modify the materials according to your application needs to meet the needs of your products.
 
In order to improve the mechanical properties of PA66, various modifiers are often added. Glass fiber and carbon fiber are common additives. The figure below shows the material properties of Hepla® PA66 base resin after adding 20%, 40% glass fiber and adding 20% and 40% carbon fiber.
